OPENGIS PROJECT DOCUMENT 99 - 078 TITLE : Topological Operators for the Grid Coverage
نویسنده
چکیده
Egenhofer's nine-intersection, well-known for vector representations, is de ned here on a raster, using a hybrid raster model, and then systematically transformed to yield functions which can be used in a convolution operation applied to a regular raster representation. Applying functions, the hybrid raster elements need not be stored. It becomes thus possible to determine the topological relation of two regions, given in raster representation, with the same reasoning as in vector representations. This contributes to the merging of raster and vector operations. It demonstrates how the same conceptual operations can be used for both representations, thus hiding in one more instance the di erence between them.

متن کاملPartially continuous pretopological and topological operators for intuitionistic fuzzy sets
In this paper, pretopological and topological operators are introduced based on partially continuous linear transformations of the membership and non-membership functions for intuitionistic fuzzy sets. They turn out to be a generalization of the topological operators for intuitionistic fuzzy sets.On the other hand it is a generalization of the fuzzy set pretopological operators introduced...
متن کاملA topological coverage algorithm for mobile robots
In applications such as vacuum cleaning, painting, demining and foraging, a mobile robot must cover an unknown surface. The efficiency and completeness of coverage is improved via the construction of a map of covered regions while the robot covers the surface. Existing methods generally use grid maps, which are susceptible to odometry error and may require considerable memory and computation. T...

We study the eigenvalue spectrum of different lattice Dirac operators (staggered, fixed point, overlap) and discuss their dependence on the topological sectors. Although the model is 2D (the Schwinger model with massless fermions) our observations indicate possible problems in 4D applications. In particular misidentification of the smallest eigenvalues due to non-identification of the topologic...
متن کاملApplication of A Route Expansion Algorithm for Transit Routes Design in Grid Networks
Establishing a network of transit routes with satisfactory demand coverage is one of the main goals of transitagencies in moving towards a sustainable urban development. A primary concern in obtaining such anetwork is reducing operational costs. This paper deals with the problem of minimizing construction costsin a grid transportation network while satisfying a certain level o...
